JAVA Programming
Ages 12+
Dec. 21-23, 2009
The ever-popular, Tony Santi, (or "Lord Tony" as the campers affectionately called him this summer) returns to Wonder-Space this summer to help beginner and experienced programmers alike take their Java skills to new levels.

Based on the popular summer course, this program teaches campers to use the JAVA programming language to take a look into the back end of computing and build an understanding of basic programming skills (or advanced skills if your camper is ready for the challenge!).

Campers learn both functional programming fundamentals and object-oriented skills through a series of projects, interactive exercises, and team-oriented activities.

Each campers will learn the pace that's right for him or her, and yet right away, campers will be immersed in data types and variables, inputs and outputs, math functions and methods, and by day three campers will be creating methods with and without parameters, teaching computers to turn text around, and using Java to have their computers "speak" in lisps.
